Dear Friends, Please send this letter or in your own words on behalf of an indigenous activist who, along with her husband, was disappeared three weeks ago. It has been our experience that the government is pretty good about responding to our letters so do let us know if you hear back.
There are currently 115,000 people in México whose whereabouts are unknown. According to the official available information, the highest concentration of disappearances occurred from 2006 to date, which coincides with the beginning of the 'war on drugs.
Thanks! Tilly & Guy

Dear Governor,
I’m increasingly worried about Ayuuk-indigenous defender Sandra Domínguez, who along with her husband Alexander Hernández disappeared from their home in María Lombardo de Caso on October 4. As you may know, Sandra is a lawyer who litigates cases of violence against women. In 2020 she denounced local authorities sharing sexual images of indigenous women.
I strongly urge you to do everything in your power to find Sandra and Alexander and to bring those responsible for their disappearance to justice.
Yours sincerely,
