Dear Friends

Please send this letter or in your own words about a 20-year old Palestinian who was arrested when he was 13.  His mental health has deteriorated to the level of life-threatening risk. Ahmad Manasra has already served seven years of his nine-and-a-half sentence and should be released.

The newly appointed public security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, is an ultra nationalist. https://bit.ly/3PhsVh9

Thanks! Tilly & Guy

Dear Minister

I’m deeply concerned about Ahmad Manasra, who is being held in Eshel Prison. I understand that his mental health has greatly deteriorated during solitary confinement. Last year, he was diagnosed by an independent Israeli clinical psychologist with schizophrenia, psychosis, and severe depression, which he developed since his detention.

As you may know, Ahmad Manasra was 13 years old when he was arrested in 2015 and at that time, Israel’s Youth Law did not allow imprisonment under the age of 14.

If the Supreme Court decides to keep Ahmad Manasra in prison, he will suffer even more. He is eligible for parole. Please do the right thing and release him immediately so he can access health and social services.

Sincerely
