Dear Friends

Please send this letter or in your own words on behalf of Marfa Rabkova, who has been in pretrial detention since September 2020. Her next hearing is on 25 April and she risks a lengthy jail sentence simply for her legitimate human rights work. Thanks! Tilly & Guy

Dear Prosecutor General,

I’m very concerned about the welfare of human rights defender Marfa Rabkova, whose court hearing is scheduled for 25 April. Worryingly, her health has rapidly deteriorated while she has been in detention because of inadequate medical care.

I understand that Marfa has been targeted for her legitimate activities, such as documenting evidence of rights violations, including torture and other ill-treatment of peaceful protesters by law enforcement officials.

Marfa has committed no crime and I strongly urge you to release her immediately and drop all charges against her.

Sincerely

Please send a copy to the ambassador in your country:
