Here is the latest page for Alaska Non Resident Hunting/Fishing licenses:
http://www.admin.adfg.state.ak.us/license/prices.html
Note that fishing licenses are now $35 but hunting licenses are $85 as
you said. In addition, there is a 7 day state waterfowl stamp for $5.
(I don't know if we'll need that or not). There is also a $30 king
salmon stamp, but I don't think you caught any of those last trip, is
that right?
It looks like you need a Basic Hunter Education course if you were
born after Jan 1, 1986, or if you are hunting in the following areas:
Eagle River Management Area, Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge,
Mendenhall Wetlands State Game Refuge, or Palmer/Wasilla Management Area.
