Hey all--

It's been a while since our last call. I've got a busy travel schedule
this summer but would like to keep moving forward on this humanitarian
FOSS coordination.

Could be do a call one of the next two Tuesdays at 1530 UTC via Skype -
maybe with some demos/screen-sharings as planned for the last call to
review our demo/test integration sites.

Does anyone have a preference for the 20th or the 27th? Based on
everyone's availability, we can make a call on which day to do this on
Monday.

In addition to doing an orientation into each-other's systems, two
agenda items I would like to focus our next call's discussion on:

1) EXERCISE 24 - scheduled for late September. I think this might
provide a great opportunity to populate these sites with some great test
data to really see where the information flows are needed between us.

2) The Humanitarian FOSS Code of Conduct and Maturity Model. I'm
sitting at the International Crisis Congress today with many of you, and
it struck me that this is definitely something that is going to help
everyone market themselves and gain acceptance amongst the traditional
response community of Government, UN, INGO. Please review the material
on the wiki and contribute your thoughts....

Any other agenda items?

Best regards,
Mark

Yup it is time to catchup on a call. We also have a new group that would like to join this team, namely the OLPC team, who we can introduce at the next call. As you are aware they have also being deploying OLPCs to disaster regions and are pretty much in alignment with our H-FOSS goals.

I am OK for the 27th at 15:30 UTC as well.

Hi All,

A quick reminder of the call today. I hope the new members from OLPC will also be joining us. I will be travelling to the airport midway during the call, so would like to request that we cover the H-FOSS code of conduct and maturity model first.

I thinks it is a good time to elaborate on the H-FOSS grouping. I had originally defined it in close alignement with the Red Cross Code of Conduct as I felt there were many synergies between this and the benefits Open Source provides:

I think it now a good time to expand on the definition with the H-FOSS maturity model and it's own code of conduct and we have drafted an initial version here. It is based on a lot of best practices we have experienced in common as we have deployed FOSS in this domain as community (I am sure there is more you can add):

H-FOSS maturity model (something that was defined at the last Camp Roberts)

H-FOSS Code of Conduct

If we can take this up in the first half an hour that would be great.

thanks,
