We've had a lot of people sign up for this list in the last week as
we've been promoting it through our networks (including the old
humanitarian-ict list on yahoo groups). Work is now spreading
through the Crisis Commons network so we might have quite a few more
members by the next time we get together online for a skype call.
I'm working on a next draft of the proposed code of conduct based on
some feedback received and will post it in the next day or so. It
would be great if everyone could review, comment and be prepared to
discuss for the next call.
I would add to the agenda some discussion of the H-FOSS maturity
model; please review
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AiR82JeFPTCOdGhmU05HM2trb3dac0dJMVdwRXRacWc&hl=en.
This is an integral part IMO of any proposal to form a consortium to
support humanitarian relief organizations.
So how about next Thursday, October 21 at 1300 EDT/1700 UTC?
I need someone to invite me back into the saved humanitarian-foss
skype group. I lost it when I migrated to a new computer. If you
see me as a member of the chat, just typing "hello Mark" should be
enough to make it come up in my skype window again. Otherwise, I'll
re-form it based on my failing memory (and my old computer, which,
of course, still has the history logged).
If you have not been a participant in one of these voice chats
before, please send me (not the list) your skype id and I will add
you to the group (once I rejoin it of course ;D )
Best regards,
Mark
