Interesting column, though I would have to go with one of Adams’ own comments, “maybe it’s just selective memory.”
Also, just because most people have learned to “make lemonade out of lemons” doesn’t mean that the original disaster that befell them was some great opportunity. It just means that people adapt to survive.
That’s one of the amazing thinks about human beings.
