I know a few of us live in DC.. would anyone be interested in meeting
up IRL once the group gets moving? I thought it would be fun to chat
over a beer, and we could always report back to the group if we have
any eureka moments.

Also -- if you're in DC for DH09 or THATCamp later this month
(Musebrarian? others?) maybe that'd be a good time. First round is
on me!

No THATCamp for me but I'm local to NOVA so I'd be in.

What if we did it the night before THATcamp? There's some downtime for
some of us after DH09. -- Bethany

I'm a non-THAT-camper -- which day is that?

Also, are there any NYC-based folks who'd like to have a meetup here?
I can offer the space at NYCResistor (www.nycresistor.com) -- would
love to have people here!

I'm about to dig back through our small-but-growing archive -- school's out!

THATCamp is on Saturday and Sunday, June 27–28.

I'm don't live in NYC, but I'd be willing to make the trip for a
meetup! Let me know.

Though I'm not doing THATCamp (silly of me, in retrospect) I'll be at
Digital Humanities, and around in DC the rest of the week/weekend.
Friday June 26, evening, works for me as well.

Do humanist makers still want to meet up for dinner on Friday? How
about we meet up at 6:30 at the Auld Shebeen in Fairfax? There's a
free parking garage that's nearby, it's accessible via Cue Bus
(cuebus.org) for those using public transportation. http://www.theauldshebeenva.com/
Here's a map:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=3971+Chain+Bridge+Rd,+Fairfax,+VA%E2%80%8E+&sll=38.844254,-77.334137&sspn=0.04158,0.090637&ie=UTF8&ll=38.846735,-77.305727&spn=0.005197,0.01133&t=h&z=17

This neighborhood restaurant and pub is a logical spot for THATCampers
to arrive at as well, so I thought it'd be easy for us to merge with
that group if and when they arrive after dinner. Let me know if this
works for you, and if you can make it at 6:30.

I'm glad that many of us can make it on Friday.

A recent development is that the Auld Shebeen has offered their
downstairs for a meetup of THATCampers starting at 5:30. We're
keeping this event open to others to join as well, so let's still plan
on meeting up around 6:30. It will also be a good opportunity to
mingle with those attending THATCamp.. who knows, perhaps we can gain
a few new members to the group! They seem like a sympathetic bunch.

I'll try to match faces among the crowd, but do say hello and
introduce yourself. I'm looking forward to it!
