catching app registration event

I'd like to catch the app registration event.

I need to perform some global setup/cleanup when the application is being registred.

Is there any way to do that?

I am using the REST API in my app.

Hi Abi.  What do you mean by "app registration"?  Also, what language is your app written in?

I use php and I start my app by clicking the 'register' button that appears when invoking the script url at my browser.

I find very useful to run some code when this event occurs.
