Dear All
I am very pleased to announce that the Human Ecology Section symposium
proposal has been accepted for ESA Pittsburgh. This is a significant
achievement for our section and one we should all be proud of helping
to achieve. Thank you for your input and we look forward to seeing you
all there.
This group list has been understandably quiet but Erle and I hope to
stimulate more discussion across it as we lead up to the conference.
We hope to use the symposium to raise the profile of the section,
increase its membership and to create momentum beyond the day (see
other postings here, for example on us contributing to ESA debate on
"Planetary Stewardship"). Realistically though, not much will happen
until after Christmas and the New Year. So, best wishes for the season
- I trust you are enduring the heat as stoically as myself and I will
dedicate at least one cold beer today to your wellbeing.
Cheers
Rob Dyball
