I would like to suggest to change ecological systems to NATURE since ecological systems could be human ecosystems as well. It reads as below:

"Human Ecology is an interdisciplinary science that explores the interactions of human and natural systems. It is also an applied science that seeks to employ our understanding of such complex interactions towards sustainable stewardship of the biosphere."

Nice - but I seem to have stuffed it. I put my edit in and now the page
displays as "not existing". You better go in and delete and I will
repost. Don't know why - mine is edit 9 but it wont come up. Edit 8
crashed on me.

Did you do agroecology - I am happy to but just say. Urban had already
allocated their endorsements.

Human Ecologists,
I've attached a very thoughtful editorial from ESA's current and incoming
presidents that shows how much our section and the discipline(s) of human
ecology can potentially contribute to ESA.

Note that Terry Chapin, ESA's president-elect, sent this to Rob Dyball and
myself with the intention of encouraging our section to work to strengthen
human ecology within the ESA.

Our section's symposium this year will help communicate our interest and
ideas on planetary stewardship, but that is only a beginning.

Other ideas on how we can support ESA's commitment to planetary stewardship?
