Dr. TinaMaschi of Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service
will be hostinga forum on “Human Rights, Social Justice, and
Qualitative Research”. The purpose of this forum is to bring
togetherinterdisciplinary scholars, researchers, community
organizations, andpractitioners to present and discuss the ways in
which qualitative researchadvances human rights and social justice.
Some of the highlights include anpanel discussion on arts-based
qualitative research as well as speakers on in awide range of
disciplines and topics. Presenters include local, national,
andinternational experts and agency staff, community members will be
among the keystakeholders and participants. Artists and musicians also
are invited toperform or display their human rights and social justice
related work. What is especially unique about this forum isthat it is
a student-led initiative. It is being coordinated by a
FordhamUniversity doctoral student Samantha L. Sutfin, MSW, with this
assistance ofmasters and doctoral level student volunteers.
