We are pleased to announce the forthcoming release of the
2011 New York City Human Rights Report Card!
We made good progress in the first week of our fundraising drive to
support completion of the Human Rights Report Card. Thank you! We need
your continued support. If you donate $50 or more before August 31st,
your name will be listed in this year’s report card as an individual
sponsor.
DONATE HERE
Help us raise $10,000 by the end of 2011 to support publication,
distribution and community education on the report card. Your support
allows HRP to provide essential coverage on human rights issues in New
York City. If you donate $50 or more before August 31st, your name
will be listed in this year’s report card as an individual sponsor.
Remember, many companies will double employee charitable gifts; reach
out to your employer to find out if your company may be one of them.
This annual publication is the only report of its kind. It provides a
comprehensive evaluation of the human rights records of individual
Council Members and the Council as a legislative body, and documents
the roadblocks that progressive legislation encounter in the struggle
for passage. We received excellent feedback from the community onlast
year's report and we hope to build on that momentum with this year's
release.
*Please note that in order to maintain the integrity of the report
card, we will not be accepting funds from anyone who works for or is
affiliated directly with Council Members.
