I encountered an untypical problem during installation.
My drive D: where Hugin was installed, got damaged. The drive D: is temporarily disconnected.
I downloaded the installer to install Hugin to C:

Installer started and ended with a message: Invalid drive D:
I want to select installation path before installing.
or download a portable version, if exists.

Any hints? Use regedit or ...?

The installer is configured to update an existing installation.
So try to deinstall to old installation first. Maybe it will complain about missing drive d: and remove the information about it.
And then try again to install it.

Yes, I had to uninstall (from the the not existing drive) and install Hugin on C:
After installation of the newest 2025 version, stitching in simple mode does not work for me.
Stitcher / Batch processor is not opened after pressing OK.
Stitching from Panorama Editor is working correctly - Batch Processor is starting and working.

May the issue be related to installing Hugin in a custom folder (C:\install) instead of Program Files? (insufficient permissions to start an application ?)

Although the D: drive where Hugin was installed, is temporarity disconnected. I will reinstall Hugin to D:
I want to use two instances (one for quick, automated stitching), the other one for manual, advanced work.
Just like I use Irfan View - in two separate folders, with their App Data in the program folder. One is configured only for slideshows on the screen 2, the other one for everything else).
