Yet there are many and my panorama aligned just fine.
Oh, I thought the photometric optimizer used the normal control points.
There was my usual 50% overlap, but I've never looked at the photometric optimizer settings under Misc. Just checked, it was the default 200, changed it to 2000, I'll see how it goes.
On my Sony A7RM4A using a Minolta 70-210mm F/4 lens via a Sony A-mount to E-mount adapter, I've noticed that the vignetting correction doesn't always catch issues. Maybe changing the number of points the optimizer uses will help address that.
