Hugin photometric optimization insists there are no overlapping points

Yet there are many and my panorama aligned just fine.

Using hugin version: 2024.0.1.ead3af10a01a on Debian Bookworm Linux.

Ideas?

The geometric and photometric optimizer are independ from each other. The normal control points are not used by the photometric optimizer.

There is probably only narrow overlap in your project. You could try to increase the number of sampled points in the preferences, tab Misc under photometric optimizer (e.g. 500 or 2000).

Oh, I thought the photometric optimizer used the normal control points.

There was my usual 50% overlap, but I've never looked at the photometric optimizer settings under Misc. Just checked, it was the default 200, changed it to 2000, I'll see how it goes.

On my Sony A7RM4A using a Minolta 70-210mm F/4 lens via a Sony A-mount to E-mount adapter, I've noticed that the vignetting correction doesn't always catch issues. Maybe changing the number of points the optimizer uses will help address that.
