How to build Hugin on M2 Macs

I'd like to build the latest version of Hugin on M2 Macs, because the prebuilt binary is from 2019.

What's the best way to do it? Should I install dependencies (like cmake) via brew?

Removes GPU support on arm64 macs since it is unreliable. Code provides an exception and hides the GPU acceleration checkbox. Will prevent users from getting corrupted output.

Sandboxing issues. Do not forget to quarantine Hugin after install and before first usage or your mac will tell you the app is broken.

In terminal:

xattr -cr drag/Hugin/folder/here

push enter

Bitbucket erased downloads section for free user plan maybe there are users keeping my versions and can share. I could recreate a version but not sure when.

Thank you for your efforts so far.
I hope that a new build for macOS will be released in the near future.

Your release of the macOS version of Hugin has inspired me to update the Japanese localization resources, which have not been updated for over 15 years. I've sent the new Japanese resources to the Launchpad community, and they may be adopted in the 2025 version of Hugin.

The problem is solved. I just had to create a free account and I could download it. Thanks a lot!

Furthermore I also had to quarantine the PTPatcherGUI since otherwise I couldn't create the panorama. 

it's working so great!
