Another related speach: Today (06/feb) I am going to talk about 360x180º panoramic photography with free software in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Unfortunately for most of people here it is going to be in Portuguese, but will be transmitted alive:

I am basically going to show shortly what is a 360x180º photography and some of its possibilities and then going to make one spherical picture alive, showing the main tricks I think are necessary to achieve a successful result (my recipe) and the post editing tricks I use to do, like cut/paste/rotate with a feather selection, editing nadir/zenith in cube faces and so on.
