Hi Linux users,

I just read this article "Stitch Panoramas in digiKam"(1). Digikam has a (kipi) plugin that uses hugin to stitch panoramas. It's brand new (2 days now).
Did anyone know this?

I think it is quite neat even though it only seems to be a "passthrough" of images to Hugin, but never the less: neat!

I will do some tests. Next week Iḿ on holidays so I assume some new panos will be added to my collection.

Actually, it appears to run on Linux, Mac and Windows.

Yes, you are right, but I still think that OS X users will use either iPhoto or Aperture and on Windows there are also a lot of options even though it's mostly camera software or windows own gallery (or what it's called now).

I suppose so (I use Aperture.)
I'm probably an unusual Mac user in that I do try to use OSS, and of those that do, I'm probably even more unusual in that I really don't know what I'm doing! For example, I've tried Dark Table, but have never been able to get it to run correctly(font problems, boot problems, etc.)  :-)   But I'm getting better (and even starting to compile stuff myself, in some cases.)
Anyway thanks for the heads up.
John
