Downloaded and setup 0904 on laptop ran fine with a 13 pix file. Repeated same on my desktop but failure when enblend started.
Checked the files on both PC's and discovered that the laptop was calling enblend from 0902 (4450) which worked fine.
The desktop was calling enblend from 0904, file size was ~1.122 vs 3.276 for the 0209 eblend file.

During this search I dropped the intermediate tifs on to the enblend droplets for Hug 070, 0904 and 0902, 0904 repeated its earlier failure.

I gather this is common knowledge by now as the 0904 Win file is no longer  available, I'm a retired analog EE, a little debugging goes along way,

My many thanks to all for this superb prgm, I wish I could bang some bits--however teaching others how use this prgm is reward enough.

Hi Irv,

This is not common knowledge, and it doesn't happen on my pc, though I
will perform some extra checks. Could you check for me whether the
enblend 4.0 release binary downloaded from the enblend website (which
should be identical to the one in the hugin installer) also fails? In
that case it's a bug in enblend 4.
If not I have to find out what is going on...

I checked it and my installed hugin 0904 uses the enblend packed with
the 0904 installer (enblend 4.0). Filesize is correct, it should be
1122 kB. I have no problems running this enblend on winXP. I suspect
this is an enblend bug, as this is the exact same binary as
distributed by the enblend project.
Thanks for your input by the way. I found some other issues with the
installer, a new release candidate is coming soon.
