Downloading Hugin to Ubuntu 24.04

I just loaded Ubuntu 24.04 onto my laptop and have to reload Hugin, but I cant seem to make it work.  Can somebody help, please.

I'm using hugin on Ubuntu 24.04. Where did you install it from? Can you be more specific about what is not working?

The install fails.  I can  try again, but I get messages in the terminal that certain processes can't be done or don't exist.  I can try again and send you the exact error messages if that will help.  I thought maybe there were known problems with installing on 24.04.  I tried through sourceforge and using flathub.flatpac.

You need to be more precise.

Which version do you try to install and how?

Are you installing from the Ubuntu repositories with "sudo apt install hugin".

Or do you use one of the latest deb packages  (sudo dpkg -i  hugin-<whatever-version>.deb"

Or do you use a flatpack or AppImage?

Do you use a x86_64 version or something else?

Please be concrete.

    Thank you.  I tried using sudo apt install hugin and it worked fine.  I was trying flatpak and sourceforge without success.  Problem solved.
