 Hi,
 Have you checked at http://hugin.sourceforge.net/download/ -- the official Hugin site?

It appears you are saying the dialog, for sending or canceling or viewing the information about the crash,  is frozen.

But does the .zip file it mentions exist?

There are several people here (myself included) who could probably solve the problem with access to the .zip file.  So if you can put that file somewhere with a public link, you would get a good answer soon.  You could also email the file directly to me or to one of the Hugin maintainers, if you prefer.

Without that file, I don't have any resources for even trying to help.

i dont have any zip file. Do you recommend to deinstall and install it again (at least 5 times i did this today), to see what happens?

Good morning everyone,

do you think we can find solution or I should forget about Hugin?

Thanks

Hi,

Why do you say you don't have a zip file?
Your own screenshot shows that a zip file is created containing the debug report.
We are not talking about a Hugin zip, but a system debug zip in the path mentioned in your screenshot.

Probably doesn't have it.  I think I was too optimistic to think the .zip file already existed at the moment the GUI hung, BUT:

I think the hugin.xml and hugin.dmp files probably do already exist at that point.

Unfortunately, with  a quick look at the source code of wxDebugReport, I did not figure out what directory they would be created in.  I wouldn't bet that it is the same directory shown as where the .zip file would go.

If you know how to use Windows, it should be easy to find out if hugin.xml and hugin.dmp exist anywhere on your computer.  Those are what would be needed to diagnose the problem.

I received an email with more info on this failure.  I thought I had the right tools to translate the addresses for the official hugin build.  But it appears I don't.
I expect someone with a proper windows build environment for hugin can.  The important part of the XML file seems to be:

"Windows 10 (build 22000), 64-bit edition"
 <module path="C:\Program Files\Hugin\bin\hugin.exe" address="0x7ff701830000" size="0x371000"/>
...
<exception code="0xc0000005" name="ACCESS_VIOLATION" address="0x7ff7018b54c3"/>
...
<frame level="0" offset="0" address="0x7ff7018b54c3"/>
<frame level="1" offset="0" address="0x7ff7018b57d4"/>
<frame level="2" function="wxWindowBase::DestroyChildren" offset="0x5a" address="0x7ff8e3463cba"/>
