Hello!
I have been struggling hard for the past 3 days to stitch together the attached 18 images I took from a TV broadcast in order to form the full hockey rink. Since no lens information is available, I just don't find the correct settings to make it work. I would appreciate it a lot if an expert could please stitch them together and send the resulting pano (uncropped) to me...
I know it's an unusual request, but I need this for a thesis which due in two days and I'm running out of time.
Also, I've attached the .pto file with the control points. This might help.

Thank you very much!
S

Hi,
gave it a try and it was quite straightforward, steps taken:
  1. (updated pto file, so that it contains filenames with relative path, not absolute, not necessary to do on your side)
  2. loaded PTO into Hugin
  3. switched to expert interface
  4. optimized position, incremental
  5. optimized position and view
  6. optimized position and barrel
  7. tried also few more optimizations but those did not end up well, so reverted back
  8. in preview, dragged it a bit (in normal mode) so that it is about straight
  9. in preview, centered and fitted
  10. optimized position and view again
  11. another center and fit in preview
  12. switched to the stitcher tab
  13. calculated optimal size
  14. changed output to JPEG
  15. changed blender to builtin
  16. pressed stitch
Attaching the result. It came out quite well (in terms of alignment, not quality) based on far from ideal input files in terms of panorama creation.

Regards
David
