Export from Hugin into GIMP layers

I would like Hugin to align the images using my manually set control points and then export the images into GIMP, each image onto its own layer. I'm on Ubuntu. Can this be done?

Stitch using the Stitcher tab but select the appropriate Remapped
Images option, this will save a separate TIFF file for each
'layer'.

You can join these together into a multi-page TIFF file using tiffcp
on the command-line:

tiffcp proj0000.tif proj0001.tif proj0002.tif merged.tif

This TIFF file should open as a multi-layer image in GIMP.

You can also do the 2 last steps in 1 step by using "Open as layers" in Gimp to open directly all the proj000#.tif

Yes, it can align images and allow you to set control points manually. There has been a very recent discussion about exporting to GIMP as layers, have you read?

Hi Brian, we would need to know what operational system you are in to be able to help you with it. On the other hand, this is not a doubt related to Hugin itself, but to the use of the system, so you will find a lot of information about it if you search on the web. You can use "Your_OS command line" to search. Let's say you are on a MacOS computer, search for MacOS command line. Just change the search according to your OS (like Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, ...).
