This is slightly off-topic but I decided to make a tutorial for the OpenShot non-linear video editor after having some difficulties myself :). OpenShot is an open source video-editor for Linux.
I never make 360x180 panos but I always make "normal" wide angle panoramas using a normal linear lens.

Note that if you don't have experience with OpenShot (or any other video editor) this tutorial as such is way over your head. You need to grasp the concept of multiple tracks and how layers and transparency are applied (like in Gimp and that "other" commercial photo program).
It's just for the ones among us that do panoramic imaging and video editong.
