Trying to build Hugin 2013 for M2 Mac on OSX Sonoma

I'm taking a shot at this, and if I can succeed then I'll see if I can start creating Mac bundles for others to use; but I've got to get it built to start with, and I'm new enough to this environment (my last Mac was 13 years old) that I haven't solved all of the roadblocks yet.

I've installed (I think) all of the relevant dependencies using homebrew, pretty much following the instructions in the Mac README file. I had to do some creative symlinking in /opt/local/lib and /usr/local/lib to get things started.

Where I'm running into trouble is with wxWidgets - homebrew installed it just fine, but  cmake can't seem to find it:

I've never used cmake before, and I'm having a hard time figuring out where/how wxWidgets_LIBRARIES and wxWidgets_INCLUDE_DIRS can be set.

Adding CMAKE_CONFIG_PATH=/opt/local /usr/local /opt/local/homebrew/Cellar to configure-bundle.sh didn't make any difference - and I've run out of ideas.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

When compiling there will be a lot of things to consider. Personally I spent around a week getting it to work but my solution is far from streamlined.
