I use PTBatcherGUI to stitch multiple panoramas in Hugin using the following the menu sequence:

File --> Search directory for... --> Images...

This then generates the .pto files that the batch processor can then use. However, the outputs are cropped and the projection varies between panoramas (images are shot on a levelled tripod with rotating motion only, the number of images varies). Is there a way to force the batch processor to output uncropped images with a cylindrical projection?

As an additional bonus is it possible to output these panoramas with a fixed height (in this case, the height of a single image) but with variable width depending on number of images?

TIA for any help

This is currently not possible. This feature is using the default panorama assistant and does therefore does not allow any personal modification..
One way would be to use an user defined assistant. But currently PTBatcherGUI does not support this. Maybe a feature for the next version.

I implemented support for user defined sequences for PTBatcherGUI in the PTBatcher_user_defined branch. It should already work but needs some more polishing in the next days.

Now you need to create a user defined assistant.
Then use File --> Search directory for... --> Images... and afterwards assign your user defined assistant to your projects in the queue.

This makes me wonder. What steps does the stock Assistant do?

Thanks Thomas,

Sadly building from source is beyond me but good to know I wasn't missing something obvious.

I committed some changes which extends the assistant.
There is now an option to select the output parameters depending on other variables (e.g. image count, or field of view).
This should be relative flexible to adapt to different use cases.

It is in the default branch. So it needs building from source and it will be in the next release.
