It has been brought to my attention that my thoughts on voting out incumbents to teach the skunks in Washington a lesson that they will never forget are considered "ridiculous" by some members of the group. That is perfectly O. K. because, as all of you know, I put NO restraints on anyone's opinions and always like to hear opposing viewpoints.
My positions on incumbency are as follows:
1. ALL incumbents (hereafter politely referred to as skunks) are responsible for the mess that this nation is in. Whether through the sins of omission or commission, they ALL bear the responsibility.
2. No other effort has worked to get these skunks to turn the direction of this nation around and to actually work for the good of the American Citizenry.
3. We have to declare political nuclear war in the form of voting out as many of these skunks as possible. That is the only option that I see that we have left. The skunks that survive and the new skunks that get elected MUST be taught lessons that they will NEVER forget.
4. The voters of this nation must also learn lessons and I submit that will only occur when they actually get to see where some new skunks will go and what they will try to accomplish.
5. I suspect that my ideas were taken as "ridiculous" (a matter of opinion) because I seemed to be a supporter of Sharon Angle. That is a misinterpretation of my position. Bear in mind, Ms. Angle has never yet had the chance to cast any vote on any legislation, while Harry Reid ranks very high in the halls of skunkery.

As always, opinions and input are welcome.

See ya, Ken

Please do not take offense to this question: Is this a group about fighting
back against HuffPo for their banning practices, and other topic revolving
around HP, or flat out politics? If this is going to turn into a general
politics list, then I would prefer to be removed. If I want to debate
someone or have someone else's ideology forced on me, then I'll join such a
group. If not, it's comparable to having someone else's religion pushed on
me, and I don't take kindly to it. If it relates to HP's policies, that's
different, otherwise I did not sign up for a free for all discussion of
politics. So I am requesting we clarify the ground rules here. If it's
permitted, the please remove me. If it's not permitted, then please refrain
from personal political opinion, especially those that tend to spark retorts
from those who do not agree. There are many other groups devoted to such
topics. This is not about censorship, as I don't believe in it. This is
about staying on topic and not exploring irrelevent topics that personally
get me all worked up and can lead to bad feelings towards others. That's
*not* what this group is supposed to be about...or so I was led to believe.

Thanks.

No offense taken. Perhaps I should have prefaced my opinions with the statement that one of the reasons that I was banned from HP was for expressing my opinions on incumbency which provoked quite agitated comments from both sides of the status quo. But because HP steadfastly refuses to offer any explanations for banning or deletions, no one will ever know. In other words, I expressed opinions that were banned or deleted by HP and therefore I considered then relevant and still do. The occasional vent or rant by any member of the group does not bother me at all and is certainly no reason to remove any support for a group that seeks only to do good against the despicable foe of CENSORSHIP whether at HP or any other part of the cyber universe.

Well, it irks me, coz IMO, it was 8 years of Bush that fucked this country,
and now everyone wants to blame it on the black guy. I'll admit the dems
have not been much of a help, but consider the mess of biblical proportions
they inherited from BushCo and the RepubliCorp. I'm sure McCain didn't mind
losing considering that mess. It was a no win situation for *anyone*
entering the office in 2008.

I agree with Kevin. We should keep posts to this list to things related to HP Censorship. I haven't been moderating out emails that are off topic so far because there haven't been too many such comments and since this is an anti-censorship group I would rather we were all self moderating rather than me starting to moderate messages.

I think most of us have each others emails. I suggest for political discussions or other things not  related to Huffpo Censorship people send out emails to individual email accounts rather than to the group list.  Let me know if anyone disagrees.

No one anywhere in LiberalElitistVille could have despised "W" anymore than my dear departed Dad. I voted for Candidate O'Bama with enthusiasm but I am in the corner with Progressives that feel that Candidate O'Bama has gone AWOL and President O'Bama is some sort of pretender.
The above is my last political comment to the group. From now on out, my comments will only concern CENSORSHIP in general and HP CENSORSHIP specifically. Anyone that wishes to engage me in any other topic (especially GET OUT THE VOTE) of conversation--AND I WOULD REALLY LIKE THAT--is welcome to email me at: kenw...@att.net

Many Thanks, Ken
