I just launched a new blog documenting the anti-science at the huffington post.  Right now the "criticism" section has over 50 links to articles criticizing science reporting at the huffington post.  The "articles" section, which will link to offending articles posted at the huffington post was just started, so i'll start building up a large database in the coming days.  I also have plans to do a blogger profiles section in the future, where repeat offenders at the huffington post will get their own page detailing what they do, a summary of criticisms against them, and linking to more detailed criticism related to them.

I'm not the greatest writer so the original content will be limited, but I think I can put together a nice portal that will at the very least bring together some of the science related criticisms under one roof.

I just thought I'd let you guys get an early peek, and allow you to bounce any suggestions you might have off me, before I start linking it at HP.

I think it's a great idea. And I find it ironic that this morning I read the following. Not sure when this was posted.

I'm delighted to announce the launch of our newest section, HuffPost Health. Coverage of medical and health-related issues has always been part of HuffPost's editorial DNA, _Arianna

Well this ought to be very interesting.
Yesterday is when I sent a letter to HP Health writer,ali...@healthjournalist.com.
No response as yet.
Will comments be monitored
Who are the moderators
What qualifies them to moderate a health and medical page
Medical?? And  as multiple health and medical questions to HP go without replies from HP,.....  I think this  is a crock. It will be interesting to see if AH moves towards, real scientific health and medical or more  new age articles. How will HP spin this? Jude

Well, I certainly hope it's a step above from 2 weeks ago when I was provided with the following, after C/O visual triggers and sz.'s.
Moderators Response.

“I think we need to ban all peanuts on airplanes because one in a thousand people are sensitive.. not. Don't come to this site if it bothers you.”

And I've yet to receive a response from HP, nor Dr. Edlund where my comment was not published and ignored, as well as other attempts by myself and others concerning the integrity as well as lack of understanding and insensitivity on the part of themods.
I find this all to be ironic in the face of my own experiences as well as others.
And I am w/i guidelines, and if this fails to get posted, then it will serve as a heads up, a new health and medical page will not be open for discussion.

I think this will explain what this section is all about.  First here is a list of the board members on HP health.

And Dana Ulmans post taunting HP's commentators

"It is so interesting to note that some of the critics of natural medicine and integrative health care have expressed concern about the abundance of articles on these subjects and that many of the criticisms of these natural treatments are being deleted. Now, perhaps, these people will know how many of us who are involved in natural healing feel by being shut-out of many medical journals, despite presenting high quality studies to them.

To me, it is amazing that anyone would be against "integrative health care" where the best of natural therapies and conventional medicine become a reality. I hope that the "medical fundamentalists" realize their scientism and medical religiosity in order to get safer health care for more people.."

I've had more comments deleted and or ignored in HP's happy healthy new web page. Though hp does state it looks forward to opinions, I basically can attest to the fact that they do not want all opinions. Just select ones.

The happy cheerleaders over at HP health Page can't kiss hp's arse enough.

And they call this Health? I call it selective cow towing by HP's fan club. And Alison bla bla bla health editor has yet to respond to an email I sent her yesterday.Oh they're really a concerned bunch over there.  Way to go HP. Keep making attempts to control the narrative. That's real healthy....yeah right.

Oh but  it just excites me to know that we all have a place where we can discuss what Arianna thinks we ought to discuss. What a marvel idea.....and this was typed with a huge amount of sarcasm. As I can see the new healthy happy web site has a built in mandate. At least I made some moderator click the delete button. Because, exercise is so important when sitting in front of a computer screen all day.Jude
