Just happen to check my mail...

today there was a piece on HP about Obama's people screwing up his visit to the Golden Temple in India...just like in the Vatican and other holy cities, you have to "cover your head" and his people freaked because the head giani at the temple said, "no baseball caps", which is the same rule the world over in holy cities...they all consider it "disrespectful"...no biggie, but his "staff' said they don't want him to go now because he could appear "Muslim" if he appeared in a skull cap or some sort of "garb". I choked from laughter at the stupidity.

I tried to post several comments all but two, which were one-liners, were not allowed. Why? I know about Sikhs...I know a lot of their history/culture. I wrote a large paper about Sikh history during grad school (plus other experiences with relations/neighbors/schools, etc). HP blocked all "informative" comment as usual. Again, the censorship was uncalled for...stupid, stupid xenophobic, uneducated, people...

At least you get to try to post and can keep a record of these ridiculous incidents.  I really miss the give and take on HP, that is why I went there to start with and why I constantly fanned those opposed to my views, at least as long as I found them to be interesting or informative or with an avatar like Lady Ta-Ta.  What fun or brain stimulation is there in talking with folks that agree with you all  the time or haven't had or wanted an original thought since the days of Moses?

Thanks, Ken

I wonder if after the debate, Ms.O'Donnell's handlers were holding their heads, yelling,

What Happened Out There??? I thought we went over this!

Ms:O'Donnell: I know, I just can't believe it, and I knew that stuff last night.Josh, you know I knew it, I aced a lot of them last night!

Handlers: Yeah so why did you decide to loose it today??? Do you have any idea what you've just done?? The media is going to have a field day, and we can't afford a field day or a media blitz at this point. So close to the election.Argh!!

Ms.O'Donnell: You're absolute right. I don't know what happened, but hey, come on now, give me a break, I was young. And besides, everyone was doing it ....you know, stupid.

Handlers: Faint to the floor and Fade!

Yes, the HuffPost mods are stupid unsophisticated anti-intellectual.  Just the way they want them.  (Except for several who are not!  But frustrated and probably won't stick with it.)
Dumbed-down, as usual in the USA.

This is the moderator that was so insensitive the other day. I can handle others ignorance, but this proves how flawed HP's moderator practices are. Apparently it's dependent upon how many comments you flag as abusive and then they reward the fringe with a badge. They are definitely gaming the system. And HP goes along with it.

Apparently the HOODOO X moderator enjoys hp. He's talks of his drug use, is condescending to many, and apparently loves to make comments. 8479 in all. And HP provides and rewards this type of commentary with badges? What a flawed system HP has. Jude

Could anyone figure out how many comments per day/hour this person has squeezed out since they started on HP?  Maybe we are missing something.  Maybe there is a $$stipend attached to the badge system that we are unaware of.  How does this person stand on Facebook and does HP factor that in the badge/stipend system?  Red hot complaints from all of us to the HP email address condemning this mod should be the order of the day for all of us. But we should avoid mentioning Jude or she might get banned through our efforts and need to ask her permission first.
Personal questions:  Has anyone sent out my petition invitation?   I still can not get rid of the fragmenting and I know that puts folks off.  Any suggestions?
Does anyone know anything about CREDO action?  They showed up on an email account that I do not use very often and seem to be some sort of petition site.  They want me to sign a petition to keep Ms. Palin from appearing on the Discovery Channel.  That is some of the very sort of crap that I am absolutely opposed to--Prior Restraint.  But I do like some of their other petitions.  Concerned because I do not know how they got my address.  Anyone know anything about them?

Thanks, Ken

Hi, I've no problem with anyone using my name, but I think if anyone does want to make an impact, it's got to be for many of the inappropriate ways this person is not only still commenting, but receives rewards for his comments or abuser clicks and is a Moderator.

So if complaints are made, I think it ought to be in a generalized way in which all of his inappropriateness can be addressed. May have more traction.

The guy is all over the place, but he likes the business section. He's all over that. He's a commerce  , pro outsource type. Which he goes into detail in one of his post. Just from reading I have learned the following

He's posted as OddOgg and Rumpstiltskin
Was in the Coast Guard, a Merchant sailor
Does software,
Had a company he sold to overseas.Made tons of money, is divorced
Lives in Texas, one child -Teenage.Continues to  Brag  a lot about money he's made.Maybe why he likes the Bus Sec.
Likes smoking MJ, Has done LSD many times, Meth etc according to his own admission.

Is Libertarian, wants small Gov. Has attended Tea Party Rallies.
Dislikes social sec. and Medicare,
Traveled around the world, is age 57,
Is either an egotist, has no social life or purpose except to post to HP over 8,00 times, and I think that's just under his current name.

He likes music,
He's a  musician, likes jazz/blues  and other music and posts mp3 links like he was a virtual HP DJ. He left home at age 13 depending on the post, other posts he  say 16. His kid doesn't do drugs at this time.
He likes history and therefore is self appointed history pro, has had comments deleted.

And the comments I looked at all had either 13 or 14 social clicks, which may be his own clicks to I think Stumble Upon. If that's possible to click yourself many times???
Arrogant and why HP rewards bad behavior is beyond me.
It amazing how much info he's placed online at HP, as well as the number of posts, but the content alone is uninspiring to say the least. Very narcissistic as  many of his comments demonstrate.

Thanks for the support of my comedic abilities.  Wish I could get a lot more folks  to laugh, life is economically tough for me now but I have friends that are in the very depths of depression, and have no problems at all in the economic sphere, because all that they can think about is the direction our nation is headed.  I know that sounds like Tea Partier talk but in some cases they do have a point to make and can not be utterly condemned for longing for a better, more decent society.
I intend to check in on the Juan Williams thread in a little while.  Sure is a tough time for me.  All the good threads about CENSORSHIP showed up after I got banned.  My initial comment would be:  "The powers that be at NPR should be awarded the Idiots of the Year Award for firing Mr. Williams and thereby making FN look like 1st Amendment heroes and giving Newt Boy traction on getting their funding revoked."   What a bunch of first class morons and CENSORSHIP lovers.

See Ya, Ken

Take care, guys.

Times are tough.
Politics is hell.

I've watched the decline of Juan Williams.  I think NPR did the right thing.  I think they may have been waiting for something like this to cancel his contract.

He just got a two million dollar contract with Fox.
He has gone to the dark side.

So to speak.
I expected more from him.
He may be Michael Steele II and that's an embarrassment ...

CREDO is a progressive organization.  They are involved with the Brady Campaign and they would be anti- Palin.

Maybe that's how they got your email address.  Remember I added your email to a petition ...
I get emails from them.  But not direct snail mail.  They only know my email.

Hoodoo could be paid by a libertarian organization.  Right-wingers have infiltrated everywhere.
Not necessarily paid by HP per post.

I know that gun nuts are paid by someone.  But who?
Those that live on threads on HuffPost must be getting wages or how else would they survive?

Must take Mr. Williams side.  And at the very least hope that NPR's funds are revoked until such time as they allow ALL voices to speak their mind, that is how tax dollars are supposed to be spent--for the good of all, to the detriment of none.  Mr. Williams did what all commenters/analysts do--speak their minds and offer up their personal opinions when they are asked.  The PC idiots at NPR have done more to harm open discussion than they could ever imagine.  For the sake of showing Mr. Williams "who's the Boss" and that PC can rule the day, they have made, of all people, a hero out of Bill O'Reilly and given Newt Boy some live ammo to revoke their tax payer funds.  Better to have brought Mr. Williams back to NPR for a program of discussion of the issues and drawn a line in the sand going forward from this point that he could no longer appear on Fox unless he quit and went on his own.  They, after all, allowed him to appear on Fox and never said anything until the money from Soros showed up.  They have only themselves and their censorious attitudes to blame for the flack they are taking.

See ya, Ken

Hi Ken:

I don't really support NPR.  They have been too PC for too long.  In this case, I do not support Mr. Williams.  I know of his earlier work and he has sold out.  He has made many disreputable comments for the sake of political pandering to bigots.  Fox has been on an anti-Islam campaign along with right-wingers.  Mr. Williams shamefully contributes.  He did not believe what he said.  He pandered.

Not necessarily that I want to cut them off.  Just wondering what opinions were out there about them and how they got my email.  Now I know and will proceed according to what I think of individual petitions.  Already told them what I thought of a petition that wanted to impose prior restraint on ANY journalistic endeavor.  I will continue to proceed here as I do in the real world--those who know more than I do have opinions that matter to me and I do not mind asking questions; to do other wise would leave me mired in ignorance.

How do you figure out who is deleting my posts?? You ask?

Well silly, that's the big 64 million dollar question. And as soon as I find out, I'll be back at ya

Not sure what was in your comment or why it went missing, but it happens here. We're suppose to get use to it I think, or so that's the meta message here.

Oh wait, I think I have an answer.
How do words disappear......see that flag link on the lower right? It's a tally thingy. If someones waves it enough, systematically, or randomly, it gets you points and then you get a I'm king of the flag clicks and then you get a virtual boy scout pin so you can continue to wave that flag as often and at whom ever you want. And make ideas go away according to your needs with one stroke of your keyboard..I think it's a magic trick of some sorts.

Anyway, That's it. Piece of cake. I could be mistaken and if so, and if that's the case, I mistyped and my ans. can be viewed as just another typo.
