On how the Huffington Post works. So far a surprising number of comments about censorship seem to be making it past moderation:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/10/huffington-post-bloggers_n_821446.html

Feel free to post links to the blog: http://bannedfromhuffpo.blogspot.com/  or to use the dummy page: http://reddogbear.blogspot.com/2010/05/free-speech.html

I've tried but I think they have a block on me now when I try to post links, even to the dummy page. For those who are new: the dummy page is a page I created so I can point people to the bannedfromhuffpo.blogspot.com blog because I found if I put links directly to the bannedfromhuffpo.blogspot.com site my comments NEVER get posted. I think other people do get comments with those links posted.

Check out the falling stats on HP. Be sure to click through each tab at the top of the little box Reach, Page Views etc.
I think upswings can be attributed to events like Tunisia and Egypt. (I posted this link to the righthand column Twitter field). But overall, there has been a steady decline. I think AH got the better end of the deal. Made money and she's still retained there. Ad. dollars are falling so they need more and more pages, sites etc to help offset the declining market. Even though some areas may be gaining, but everyone is tied into facebook or other social mediums to increase their visitor stats in the hopes that they can increase their ad revenue.  Also read AOL stocks were down.

Tried to send discussion about HP and NRA censorship to Tamron Hall facebook discussions.  Do not know if I got it right.  How are things with everyone?--Please let me know,  Southern Bubba

Hey , How are you doing? It's good to hear from you. Yeah I'm still getting censored on hufpo, but maybe it's because I comment on things like  their "OH Look Pepsi gives to the arts." actually it was an ad blitz, HP must be getting ad money to post an infomercial.
My combined 2 replies went something like this,

I would much rather see Pepsi open free dental clinics around the world. Their soft drink should be called hard drink
It decays teeth
No nutritional value
And whatever they donate is a tax write off anyway, so they are doing a warm and fuzzy ad blitz is all.

We both know it's all total BS when they run feel good stories like that.
I guess they didn't like it, because the article was unmoderated, well until I came along and some one else swore in their post:-) Like F pepsi:-)

Amazing, they're like little worker elves all running around to keep all the loose cannons from discharging. So I posted another comment under pepsi...Hey go have a pepsi or something bla bla...at that point it was becoming a tag game of sorts:-) Of course, it too got scrapped.
Hey please keep in touch OK? Great hearing from you, and I guess you're back on HP???

Please see if you can locate my post on Tamron Hall discussions on facebook.  I must not have done it correctly.  Nancy Weaver can not find it.  HP still a no go for me.  Would like some suggestions for other sites that may actually refrain from censorship for the sake of money.
I may send you something by snail mail in a day or two.  Recovering from close call from a  heat stroke while cleaning out an attic full of collectible goodies.

Stay in touch, Bubba

Hey Bubba,
I rarely go to HuffPo any longer. I decided it was getting "addictive"; I felt like I was "gambling" and loosing all the time, yet, couldn't keep myself from commenting. One day I just stopped. I removed the bookmark and stopped cold turkey.

I maybe go there once or twice a month and usually on someone else computer if I'm just screwin' around. I can see now how badly it's gone down in terms of story content. For instance, the other day, I read a great link on Perry down in Texas giving his state over to god via Buzzflash. The comments on that news article were hysterical...Robin Williams quality. Went to HufPo, different take, different article and no mention of Perry's plans to turn the state over to god...I tried to comment and it never made it. All I asked was, "Hey Ricky! Where is god's birth certificate, huh?" There were 5 stories on Sara Palin with numerous comments asking HP to please  stop posting articles on her...

HufPo has become irrelevant junk news and I just don't bother any longer...bets are on, Fox will buy it soon...
