Received phone call from the kids rides, unfortunately they have double booked and no longer available on the 26th. They are trying to get another company in as they feel bad but no promises.  If anyone else has contacts that would be good. 

 I've spoken to the Police and they will have a presence on site and will give details what they can bring to entertain kids.

Northern Sikh Mela Meeting (Warrenside Grounds) (6/8/2013)

Att: Hardeep, Jagdish, Peejay (Pritpal) , Kalvinder (Tim), Balraj, Ranjit, Jas Chatha.

Stage - Hardeep to request Dharam Seva Records to Attend a meeting at Warrenside to see site and tell us of any requirements. (Power, Sound, Generator etc)

Ranjit - Follow up events Licence (Numbers could be a issue)

Stalls - Tim have 3 Confirmed with another 2 maybe (Price for stall might be to high) Price for Stalls reduced to £50.

(Some sevadaars to ring around and try to book more stalls) request to all sevadaars who receive this email please ask around to see if anybody would like to book a stall, if yes please call Kalvinder Bhullar on 07862709661.

Gatkha - Tim to call Surjit Singh @ Chapeltown Leeds to organise Gatkha.

Funds - Pally to raise an invoice for Ranjit, Jas Chatha, and Fartown Gurdwara for £500 each.

Jas Chatha & Kalvinder - to go to Audi & Mercedes garage to request to attend Mela with some cars and charge a fee for this.

Peejay - To speak to Enterprise Cars for Sponsorship

Layout -  Hardeep to draw up final plan for layout on grounds.

Kalvinder - Colne Vally Skip Hire to Donate Skip and collection for Kalvinder Bhullar

Marquee - Maharaja Marquee to provide Marquee for Food/Langar

Raj Samra - To attend Leeds gurdwara to ask if they can attend Mela and set up stall.

Jagdish - to make signs for Toilets/Changing rooms

Hardeep/Jagdish/Jaswant Randhawa - to meet Lola caters regarding food/langar

Att: Kalvinder, Hardeep , Ranjit, Jaswant R, Balraj, Kiren Kaur. Jas Sodhi, Harpreet Kaur, Jagdish, Santokh Singh, Jarnail Singh.

Food- Jaswant, Hardeep & Jagdish to see Lola caters to discuss menu and costs for Langar food.

Jaswant & Santokh Singh to sort out Langare from Gurdware and trays/Plates.

J Chatha - To check Insurance to see if current insurance covers for Mela event.

R Uppal - To see how much we need to charge for 3 main rides.

J Chatha - To organise 4 staff to run Tuck Shop.

Tea - Agreed to charge 50p for Tea.

Ice Cream - to charge 70p

Drinks - 70p

At end of Mela event it has been agreed that we need too thank as many sponsors and Helpers as poss, e.g., Kirklees, Cricket Club, Skip Hire.

Kiren K - To Ask friends if they can help with Horses for Mela day.

Inderpal  -  wanted to meet R. Uppal & Hardeep

Kalvinder Bhullar - To ask Sangat Group/IWA for donation.

Ronnie - To Confirm if we haver any staff from Barclays this year.

Jarnail S - To Organise stage set up and ask Dharam Seva records if they require anything else for stage.

Gatkha - Nothing set up yet but Hardeep still trying to organise.

Jagdish B and an other to go to breakfast show on Sikh channel.

2 Vans are required to move tables from Gurdware to warren side Grounds.

Paypal - Ranjit Uppal to speak to Ronnie about setting up Paypal account for NSM account so donation can be made easy.

Hardeep S - to write up stage plan for next meeting.

Santokh Singh (Fartown) has requested to sing 3 songs at start of Mela.

Northern Sikh mela meeting (20/8/2013) Warrenside Grounds

att:  Kalvinder, Jagdish, Lucky Singh, Kiren Kaur, Hardeep, Jagjit Singh, Amba, Palvinder, Jaswant R, Balraj, Jaswant Chatha, Gobi Sahota, Raj Samra, Jag Sodhi, Harpreet Sodhi.

Lucky - (Security) 10 confirmed awaiting on 6 security staff including Charlie & Co.  Lucky needs to brief all Sevadars before start of Mela.  Radio and Uniforms will be sorted and there will also be a security stall (Inductry/Cam Security UK ltd) this will be manned full time.

Strongman equipment will be provided by Lucky (Total Fitness) Lucky to organise full Transport,  in return Total Fitness require a stall for 2 staff.

Lucky - Will be setting up a stall for (Just Wellbeing) This will be manned by owner of (Just Wellbeing)

Sevadaars to meet at 3pm Sunday to arrange Tables & Chairs for Warrenside (We need a few Vans and plenty of Hands please)  All that can help please come forward as this is a big job.

All sevadars that help please note the tables will need to go back at 6pm to gurdwara.

Stall Hoders - Kalvinder & Jag Sodhi to keep control of Tables and Chairs for Stall holders.

Stall Holders List:

A Benti to all Sevadaars to please if Poss wear a Kesri Colour Pagg (Turban).

If you don't have one please request one from your Gurdwara Giani.

Kalvinder - To send a note to all stall holders that they will not be able to move there Vans before 5pm.

as moving before will cause a lot of disruption.

CLEAN UP HELP - at end of Mela an announcement needs to be made on stage for sevadaars to help clean up.

CASH FOR DAY - £2,500 required on the day to settle payments.

Jaswant Chatha - To organise Cash Flow for the Day.

Jagdish Bhullar - £1,000 to be provided for Cash Flow on day.

Palvinder - To Arrange collection of Cash/Funds so money can be banked.   Also to email Kalvinder the Bank details for bacs transfer.

Palvinder - To pay Jarnail the balance for Stage Performers on Friday 23/8/2013 via Bacs.

Jarnail to speak to Jagdish about Sikh Channel breakfast show.

Hardeep To speak to Dilbadhshah Singh about Shastar Vidya.

Jagjit Singh - To Organise rota for Simran tent.

Langar - It has been decided in Mela meeting that both Gurdware will provide Langar and Jaswant R will take all responsabilty  for Langar from Springwood Jagdish to help Jaswant R for total Langer organise.

One Changing room to be changed into a Sevadaars room with Drinks Provided.

Balraj Uppal - To have a questionnaire set up for the sangat who come to Mela to ask for feedback.

Langar will be donation based and Lola caters will be charging £1 per plate.  Both stalls will need to be set apart from each other.
