Thispost is reserved for anyone willing to help us with LaunchBox for Android 1.10 beta releases. You can opt into the beta releases in the app by going into Options and enabling the Update to Beta Releases option. Then restart the app and follow the steps.

Nice updates. For me the main pain point for this Android version is the emulator handling (the link to the Play Store version of Retroarch springs to mind since that version doesn't work on so many devices). For the sake of convenience it would be nice to grab the version of Retroarch you want from their site and check for updates for it as well. This might be an unrealistic ask, but it would save some end-user effort ?

I'm not sure how kosher it is to mention other launchers, but I find the way Daijisho handles emulators (not to mention just being a great home screen replacement) is really slick. The only lack in Daijisho's functionality for me is that it has no portrait support. Since I got a telescopic controller, a stylus, and a 2023 model Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet (ETA Prime's video put me over the top on deciding to buy one) my portable emulation capabilities have gone through the roof. I'm either a) in need of a 12-step program or b) the coolest middle-aged guy in town now. Meh, it can be both.

Not a developer but Vita3K is the system I'm primarily interested in so I thought I'd provide what I've seen. There's a thread on Reddit saying that Vita3K poses some issues due to the UI being written in C++ and that the the game gets decompressed on install which causes issues with direct links. I've also done some testing with the Daijisho link below but wasn't successful. The dev's probably has this info already but just in case:

Some beta feedback - Had a few random crashes using the wheel view but otherwise things have been fine. Been using Yuzu primarily and noticed that when exiting a game it brings me back to the Yuzu front end vs. Launchbox (not sure if anything can be done about that). But otherwise great progress

We'll definitely try again if anything significant happens with this emulator that could potentially solve them. If anyone knows a dev there, we'd love to talk to them to see if something can be done.

Thanks for the feedback. Going back directly to LaunchBox usually requires the emulator itself to have some kind of exit hotkey or exit option. I haven't checked yuzu specifically, so you'd have to dig around their settings and see if they have one.

Thanks for the feedback. We will definitely look into some of this for future updates. We'd love to better support custom emulators and allow users more freedom with setting them up. For RetroArch in-particular, we'd just simply love to provide users a way to type in or somehow choose their own core that we may not have gotten around to adding yet. Good news about Citra, we have that on our list to take a look at.

One of the things I love about my Android devices is emulating, and one of the emulators that surprised me the most is Vita3K. Playing my backed-up PS Vita games on newer hardware has been amazing, and I have been able to re-live some of my favorite moments from when I was younger. And now, a new update was released for the Android version that helps improve performance and more!

On Android devices, we can expect some massive shader improvements all around. Asynchronous shader compilation was added, which reduces stutter caused by shader compilations and speeds up compilation by almost 2x to 3x. There were also some shader performance improvements, so with the two of those together, there will be some nice changes. We also have a crash fix and a graphical fix for double buffer, which will help Terraria.

I tried with a clean version of RA, but nothing, with GL without problems, is to put Vulkan, exit and it stops working and before perfect. The graphic is an Nvidia GTX 970 and Windows 10 x64 all updated.

I discovered a solution to my Vulkan crashing issue, thanks to user Flynn58 on the RetroArch Discord #help channel, as reported on 4/20/21. Go into Device Manager > Display Adapters, and disable then re-enable the iGPU (in my case, AMD Radeon Graphics). They posit a theory as to why this is in the Discord. All I care about is that it works again!

Despite resolution, you may continue to experience the error on a fully updated system if your system manufacturer has yet to release an updated AMD driver. If you are experiencing this issue, you have two options:

Resolution: Install latest AMD Radeon graphics drivers directly from AMD. It is recommended that you do the optional factory reset in the installation options. However, installing the latest Radeon driver from AMD may cause unintended side effects on your system, as this driver is not fully tested or integrated by your computer manufacturer.

The thing is, the emulator runs just fine and it doesn't crash or anything. Just on every new launch of the emulator, this error appears in Event Viewer. I've checked Logcat logs (found nothing) and tried to start emulator from cli instead, same problem.

Since I found MSVCP140.dll to have come from Microsoft c++ 2015 redistributable x64, I've gone ahead and updated that redist as well with no change.I've played around with emulator's memory settings (lowered and raised) to see if that makes a difference, but no change unfortunately.

I had and resolved the same issue. The reason was I had an older version of Intel Hardware-accelerated execution Manager(HAXM) installed on Windows 10. While trying to run the emulator via command line I got this error: Incompatible HAX module version 3, requires minimum version 4. This occurred even when in the SDK tools of my android studio there was the correct version of HAXM.So in the Control panel-> remove software I uninstalled the older version and installed the newer version from the Intel site.

All windows, cpu and gpu updates are installed. I have Sketchup Pro 2021 and most recent version of Endscape. I've even tried with an older version of Endscape since that has gotten me out of a jam before but now nothing renders.

PCastro , I am very sorry to hear about that - We have also already received your Feedback Report and are looking into it. You will receive a dedicated response/solution through the created case/report of yours as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, does it make a difference if you (temporarily) reduce the project in complexity, and/or are you successful with running smaller scenes? Is there anything else you can think of that might have changed before Enscape became unusable?

In any case, we're able to give you a definite answer through the report as mentioned too so please stay tuned for that.

This issue is related with Vulkan plugin (Vulkan is beta released for NVIDIA Graphics), usual this error show up with big projects, after I installed the Enscape 3.1 and Sketchup 2021 the error no longer was showed, it might work with Enscape 3.2, but not quite sure because I haven't tested yet

Last week I tried the 3.3.1 Enscape and Sketchup 2022 and works fine either, just make sure there are no leftovers in %APPDATA%\Enscape , %LOCALAPPDATA%\Enscape or in the plugin's folder before installing another Enscape version

Hi! Same issue here with the newest version of endscape! Tried downgrading to older version and updated all my drivers! (my son double checked so I'm sure that its updated) It would be wonderfull to gain some insight into why this is happening. The file is only 196mb and doesn't use any overly high resolution textures. Other projects work fine but one in particular triggers this message.
