Dear community,

Happy to share with you the launch of the US-Africa Frontiers of Science, Engineering, and Medicine Program.

Based on the successes of long-standing Frontiers programs at NASEM, this new program will convene outstanding early to mid-career researchers from the United States and the African continent in a unique interdisciplinary setting to exchange knowledge at the forefront of S&T research and build lasting collaborations.

The first symposium will take place in partnership with the African Academy of Sciences on October 12-14, 2022, in Nairobi, Kenya. The scientific sessions, chaired by an outstanding organizing committee, will discuss cutting edge knowledge on Artificial Intelligence, Materials Science, Biodiversity, Climate and Food Security, and Infectious Diseases.
