Statement from Jianren Li, Grace Ying and Cheng Wu
Dear HXNY Members,
Today we woke up to see our last efforts as the former Principals and
Board Chairpersons to resolve the ongoing crisis leaked as anonymous
emails. This email chain was purposely only sent to a very limited
group of people as a private communication for negotiation, and was
broadcast to our entire community without our consent.
As some of members know, three of us all are long-time HXNY veterans
since the earliest days of this school, and we have served as
Principals and Board Chairperson in the past years. We are saddened to
see the chaos that is going to put the education of our children and
our community in jeopardy. Under these circumstances, Jianren Li and
Grace Ying, offered themselves to the Board as the interim principal
and PC President, respectively, with the best intentions to help
overcome the crisis until the school can revise its current Bylaws,
and a free and fair election can be conducted. Appended to this
statement is the final draft of our negotiation for your inspection.
The Board was informed of our efforts, and the two Board members,
Shengjing Li and Ching Zhou, were in direct negotiations with us
through phone calls, emails, and even a face to face meeting. In the
final draft of the agreement, we tried to address the concerns from
both sides and restore the order and peace to our school. At 9:25 PM
last night, Shengjing Li called to inform me that they were ready to
accept the agreement, and we offered to send the final draft for their
final review. We have not yet received a call from Shengjing Li and
Ching Zhou. At 10:48 PM, we officially called off the efforts.

Appendix:
Huaxia Board, School Admin and Parents Council Agreement (final
draft)
1. HXNY will temporarily suspend the election, and Jianren Li and
Grace Ying will be the interim principal and PC chairperson, on June
20, 2011.
2. The original two pair of candidates will suspend their election
campaign right away.
3. The Jianren Li and Grace Ying’s interim teams will not include any
member of both campaigns.
4. The school will establish a committee immediately to revise the
current Bylaws to make a free and fair election possible.
5. The Board will announce the revocation of their previous
impeachment against the current Principal, Alan Wang.
6. The Board will follow the normal transition stipulated by the
Bylaws, i.e. the two most senior members (Gary Guo and Peiwen Yang) of
the current Board will retire and the current principal (Alan Wang)
and PC chairperson (Lee Zhu) will become the latest board members
right after this semester ends on June 20, 2011.
7. Upon agreement, Jianren Li, Grace Ying, the School Admin, and PC
council will call for stopping impeachment procedures against the
Board members.
8. This document will be signed and dated, and the announcement will
be published to the entire school right after the negotiation.
