上周末的华夏运动会很成功，我们有将近一百个运动员和家长参加。天气明媚，春高气爽，大家玩儿得很尽兴。肚子们也高奏凯歌。买了那么多午餐（PIZZA，包子，六种盒饭和汤），一扫而光。但是我们的拔河比赛还是被大费城学校击败，屈居亚军。下次一定要吃得更饱，只有这样才有可能战胜对手。我们的英雄小姐妹，孙千芸和孙千芳就拿了两个金牌一个银牌。向她们祝贺！希望明年有更多的运动员参加。
将近学年尾声，请竞选校长和懂事会成员的家长们尽快报名，与学校管理和运作，施展你们的才能吧。
要参加毕业典礼和演出的同学们请赶快到你们的老师那报名。这是今年最后一次演出机会了！
Marlboro Learning Center 的林博士要来我校举办”暑假计划和早期申请大学的计划”的讲座。他擁有十年以上經驗,在學業課程設計以及咨詢申請大學,幫助您的孩子進入理想好大學。时间是三点正，地点是学校餐厅。
Supreme Tutoring的Mr. Adam Newman也来学校办一个关于暑假学习中文的讲座，时间是一点四十五, 地点是学校餐厅。请大家去听听，说不定他有金钥匙教好中文。

Hello Huaxia Students and Parents,
This Saturday (05/09) our school is open with the normal schedule. Welcome to our Chinese school. Please don’t be late.
We had a very successful Track&Field Event. There were about 100 athletes and parents shown up. The weather was so beautiful that we all forgot the cold Spring. We all felt so excited and moved around, our tummies were ready to stuff. We have ordered so much food, pizza, “baozi”, Chinese lunch boxes with soup. They were gone in a blink of eyes. But we still lost in the tag-war against Philadelphia Huaxia School with a silver medal. Next time, we need to stuff our tummies as much as possible to win the tag-war. Congratulations to our heroines, Katie and Linda Sun. They won two golds and one silver. Hope next year we have more athletes get involved.
As we are close the end of academic year, the school principal election and school board member election is on-going. For those who support our school, please seriously consider this opportunity to serve our school.
We are preparing the graduation ceremony. We encourage students to get involved, prepare your shows and get on the stage! This is your last chance for this year!
Dr. Charles Lin will give a seminar on “Summer Activities Planning and Early College Planning & Preparing” this weekend at 3:00pm in the cafeteria. Please join him to discuss your kids’ future.
We have another presentation by Mr. Adam Newman from Supreme Tutoring. He will talk about Summer camp learning Chinese. Maybe he has got a golden key to teach Chinese. If you feel interested, please join him. The presentation is at 1:45pm in the cafeteria.

Hello Huaxia Students and Parents,
This Saturday (05/16) our school is open with the normal schedule. Welcome to our Chinese school. Please don’t be late.
This Sunday, there is a Marlboro Memorial Parade. At 2:00pm, the parade starts from Marlboro Post Office (Marlboro Plaza), along School Road, ends at the Town Hall. We encourage those families who are not busy at that time period to go. The weather on Sunday is beautiful. See you there.
As we are close the end of academic year, there are two big events, the graduate ceremony and graduate BBQ party. For those students who want to show on the stage, please contact your teachers. We encourage group shows since we have a tight schedule. The PTA members are busy preparing for the BBQ party. If any parent is willing to help, please go to the PTA desk and get an assignment. The school principal election and school board member election is also on-going. For those who support our school, please seriously consider this opportunity to serve our school.

As a member of Huaxia South Chinese School, it is your right and opportunity to get involved in the whole process and voice your opinions. 这星期六（五月二十三日）学校放假。请大家尽量享受长周末，迎接夏天的到来。
上个星期天，万宝路市组织了国殇日游行。我校历年都参加，但这次是人数最少的一次。希望大家还是要踊跃参加。这是长期投资，但你不知道回报在哪里。可能在你最意想不到的地方和时候。
明天午夜（05/22）是校长和董事会的选举报名截至时间。请家长们尽可能报名参与。我们需要新生力量。我们中文学校已经发展了二十年。时过境迁，学生已过两代。如何办校，与时共进，是我们最大的问题。校方管理，董事会和家长会要一起参与。我们需要大量的有胆有识的新人参与。如果你们都能积极参与，它将标志着中文学校迎来一个新的时代! 她将给你们的后代，带来巨大的影响。
我们的最终目的是学习中文是生存的一个基本技能，不止是传承中华文化。如果后者是和时代背道而驰，那我们就适可而止吧。只有看得远，才有最好的策略和方法。才不会被近期的困难所困扰。
我们的近期目标是让学习中文成为一个时尚。我们要用最新的教学方法，要让学生有新鲜感。这需要所有人的努力，新人带来新概念，新思维。时尚就一定需要显示的机会。我们要创造这种机会，这也是我们新的课题。
所有新鲜尝试都需要财政支持，我不在这里要你们慷慨解囊。学校还有贮备基金。三四节课的改革还没有定下来，我们会尽早。我在这里强调，我们的家长应该帮助我们的老师一起把中文教好，学好。一个好的学校也是培养教师的地方，更何况我们是在做一件永远向前进的事。没有设置好的路径，只有不断摸索。
如果大家有兴趣讨论，可以随时到办公室和我们切磋。
我下次要表扬我们的毕业生们。我们所有参加HSK考试的学生都通过了。向他们祝贺！我们已经收到几个班的参加毕业演出的通知。请各班继续努力。

Hello Huaxia Students and Parents,
This Saturday (05/23) our school is close for the Memorial Holiday. Please enjoy your long weekend and welcome the summer.
Last Sunday, there was a Marlboro Memorial Parade. We had the least shown-up in the history. We still encourage families to go next time. I know you are busy. But once a while it shall be ok.
Tomorrow midnight is the deadline for filing the applications of school principal and board members. We encourage new people to apply. You can bring new ideas and new concepts to our school. I would like to see a new age of our school. We need to bring our school to the next level after 20 years.
We haven’t made a decision on 3-or-4 sessions for next year. Please be patient.
All students who took HSK test have passed. Congratulations to them!
We have received several classes’ applications for the graduation shows. Please hurry.
We will have a travel agent coming on 05/30 and 06/06 to collect passports for China Visas. And they return the passports on 06/13. The time is 1:30pm to 2:30pm. Attached is their visa guide.

这星期六（六月六日）学校继续正常上课。但是我们只上两节课。所有的中文课都移到第一，二节上。儿童文化课取消，成人文化课前两节的可以上。请大家尽量提早到校，不要迟到。
这个星期六是我们最后一次考试。向你们自己祝贺吧。终于熬过来了！我们BBQ活动是四点开始。考完后，请同学们放松放松吧。上完两节的学生和家长，如果不排练节目的话，可以直接去Thomson 公园 BBQ 场地玩儿。如果想到舞台上排练，请和你们的老师定好。排练好后再去BBQ。我们不会把美食吃光的。附件有PTA主席老桂制作的地图。

Hello Huaxia Students and Parents,
This Saturday (06/06) our school is open with short sessions. All Chinese classes will be moved to the first and second sessions. Child culture classes are cancelled. Adult classes are normal if they are in the first or second sessions. Welcome to our Chinese school. Please don’t be late.
This weekend we have our last test. Congratulations to yourselves. Finally it’s over. We will have the BBQ party from 4:00pm. So we all can relax. The students and parents who don’t need to rehearse can go to Thomson Park directly. The students who have rehearsals can come late. We will reserve the food for you. Attached is a map made by the PTA chair, Mr. Gui, showing the site.
This week, the Huaxia School Headquarter holds a graduate ceremony at our auditorium from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Please be careful when you drive, park and walk. We have many guests coming from different states. Please be good hosts to them.
Last week we had a successful election. We got these people elected as a principal and School Board members.
Cheng Yi, Donghui Zhao, Hongbin Zhang, and Sen Ye.
Congratulations to them. Hope they will make good contributions to our school. We need new people to serve our school. Since the people who serve the school are volunteers or semi-volunteers, the more people who are qualified and ready-to serve, the better to our school. Please remember the school is yours. For those who weren’t elected, please continue to serve our school. There is no difference at the end of day.
Our school’s graduate ceremony is on 06/13. I think we are ready.

华夏中文学校的同学和家长们，你们好！
这星期六（六月十三日）是学校最后一天了。我们的毕业典礼是从两点正开始，四点半结束。学校一点半上半节课。儿童和成人文化课取消。学校大门十二点半开，要排练的同学和家长可提前到校。让我们好好地欢聚在一起，记念这个里程碑的日子。
上个星期六我们BBQ活动很成功。大力感谢家长会的成功组织和操办，也非常感谢志愿帮忙的家长们。同学和家长们玩儿得不亦乐乎。画龙点睛的又是我们的李颜家的冰激凌，醇美芬芳，落牙缤纷！
为了这次毕业典礼，我们的副校长王剑卫和黄舒泳花了极大的功夫，家长会也大力支持和奉献，以及毕业班的老师们辛勤地工作。在此向他们表示最大的敬意和感谢！

Hello Huaxia Students and Parents,
This Saturday (06/13) is our last school day for this semester. We will have a graduate ceremony and celebration. The ceremony starts at 2:00pm, and finish at 4:30pm. All culture classes will be cancelled. And we only have a half-hour session starting from 1:30pm. Welcome to our Chinese school. Let’s have fun.
Last week we have a very successful BBQ. PTAs have done a great job! We also greatly appreciate those volunteers who served us. The most exciting moment is the ice-cream time. Great thanks to our Li Yan’s family!
Our Vice Principals, Jason Wang and Connie Mo, have been working so hard on preparing this graduate ceremony. Great thanks to them! PTAs have also done a lot of work, too! I am so proud of our parents! We also thank our teachers who have worked so hard to teach our graduate classes that we have achieved so much. Also all other teachers’ contributions are deeply planted in this achievement. The lists below are the elite students from graduate classes.

We will start the registration at the end of this month. Our system is in the upgrade. We will introduce new methods to improve our teaching and try to let our students get interested. We also need the parents’ involvement. You may find your kids feel so proud of you. Please take advantage of this opportunity.
