昨天我們講到, 在那段飢荒肆虐的時期, 耶和華賜福給那個寡婦, 使她"壇內的面必不減少, 瓶裡的油必不短缺"。毋庸置疑, 在當時的境況下, 這件事肯定剛強了年輕寡婦的信心, 並且也使之成為蒙神賜福的一個記號。可是, 故事是否就這樣結束了呢？ 不! 後來, 寡婦的兒子病倒了, 並且不斷惡化, 直到最後撒手人寰。不錯, 寡婦壇內的面和瓶裡的油, 的確都沒有斷絕, 但是此刻, 對她來講, 這些都已經不重要了。兒子的離開, 讓她的人生變得極度慘淡, 沒有希望。於是, 她向以利亞吶喊, 質問他, 上帝究竟為什麼要這樣做？ 以利亞請寡婦將孩子交在他的手中, 寡婦聽了他的話。以利亞隨即將孩子抱到樓上去, 在那裡向神呼求, 同時, 將自己伏在孩子的身上。後來, 神大施憐憫, 使孩子死而復活。 以利亞欣慰地將孩子重新交還給了這個母親。之前那個沉甸甸僵硬的身體, 此刻再次充滿生機, 而母親臉上的喜樂也取代了先前的絕望。神除去寡婦的疑慮和絕望, 賜她信心和滿足, 於是她開始為神和神的話語, 做美好的信心見證。 有時, 我們會淚眼婆娑地質問上帝, 祂到底想要怎樣。然而, 當我們真正開始順服神, 讓死而復活的耶穌在我們生命當中居首的時候, 我們就能看到祂的計劃, 祂要除去世上的眼淚與哀傷, 取而代之的是我們信心和喜樂的見證。 |
You would think it was enough. To have a jar of never-ending flour and a bottomless jug of oil was a sign of God's favor, right? (See 1 Kings 17:14-16.) Surely that was enough for this mother to have faith. But then the woman's son became sick. His condition worsened, and he died. The jar still had flour and the jug still had oil, but it was not enough. Her life felt empty, and she cried out against Elijah, questioning the motives of his God. Elijah asked her to give him her son's body, and she did so. He carried the boy upstairs, where he cried out to God and stretched himself over the body. In his mercy God gave the gift of life again, and death was vanquished. Elijah had the great joy of returning the son, alive, to his mother. The body that was so heavy as it was carried to the upper room was no burden in the return trip to a mother whose groans of sorrow turned to shouts of joy. God had turned her doubt and emptiness into faith and fullness—and she gave witness to her faith in God and his Word. Sometimes we weep and question God. But when we center our life on Jesus, the one who died and came back to life for our sake, we begin to see God's plan to replace the tears and sorrows of this world with testimonies of faith and joy . |
祷告慈愛的父神, 求祢擦去我們的眼淚, 用祢的關懷和安慰蔭蔽傷心絕望的人, 使他們都能經歷到從祢而來的喜樂, 又讓我們都能在祢的里面找到信心與永生。奉耶穌的名禱告, 阿們! |
PrayerDear God, wipe away our tears. Surround those in deep sorrow with your care and comfort. May we find, in you, faith and life eternal. In Jesus' name, Amen. |
今天经文： 列王纪上17:17-2417這事以後,作那家主母的婦人,她兒子病了;病得甚重,以致身無氣息。18婦人對以利亞說: "神人哪,我與你何干？你竟到我這裡來,使神想念我的罪,以致我的兒子死呢？" 19以利亞對她說: "把你兒子交給我。"以利亞就從婦人懷中將孩子接過來,抱到他所住的樓中,放在自己的床上, 20就求告耶和華說: "耶和華－我的神啊,我寄居在這寡婦的家裡,你就降禍與她,使她的兒子死了嗎？" 21以利亞三次伏在孩子的身上,求告耶和華說: "耶和華－我的神啊,求你使這孩子的靈魂仍入他的身體! " 22耶和華應允以利亞的話,孩子的靈魂仍入他的身體,他就活了。23以利亞將孩子從樓上抱下來,進屋子交給他母親,說: "看哪,你的兒子活了! " 24婦人對以利亞說: "現在我知道你是神人,耶和華藉你口所說的話是真的。" 回到页顶 |
