Hi everyone,
I wanted to reach out and advocate for Question 1 on the HUA Referendum regarding shifting the
deadlines for student organization grant funding.
I wish for all student organization leaders to vote "YES" to the question below. Vote here! The amendment requires 2/3 approval so please vote!

If you have read the
HUA Constitution, semesterly grant funding occurs in the following manner: "For the Fall semester, these requests are due in August for end of September approvals. For the Spring semester, these requests are due in December for end of January approvals." Note how extreme and inflexible this is regarding when the academic semester starts.
The amendment last semester to change this failed, so please vote YES to this question. This gives student organizations more flexibility with grant deadlines and preparing applications while allows the Finance Team more resources and time to review the grants sufficiently.
Since the HUA Finance Team reviews grants for all student organizations across political, cultural, social, and economic spectrums, we rarely publicize anything that might be construed as opinionated. However, this amendment is beneficial for student organizations in achieving your missions, so the Finance Team wanted to note how important this amendment is to you as student organization leaders.
