I would like to add that recently Dalit groups sported 150 persons before the BBMP Commissioner's office and refused to go unless he heard them.  As a result, the BBMP Commissioner called a meeting with them just three days later and the Jt. Commissioner sat with them for two hours (Commissioner could not come due to rain problems), went point by point promising to take action on most of  their demands.  They were demanding proper implementation of the 18% SC/ST grants by BBMP.  It was a most productive meeting.

The problem is really serious.. 91 roads (number has apparently gone up to 95) are going to be affected.. this means felling of thousands of trees.. Blore's future is under tremendous threat.
Unless we show authorities and the court that we have a great support base, we will lose the battle.. unfortunately numbers are given value these days.. few ppl here and there making a noise or protesting tree felling is of no particular use..
We have to be in hundreds.. and be noticeable.. and we need to work towards this..
