There was no meeting last weekend, since people felt it was just after the HU meeting on Thursday- June 5th.
 
I think we should meet today/tomorrow to check on the normal updates- funding, BMTC meetings, Protests et al.

Yes, but since we didn't plan ahead, we can't use the Civic space. What time and where? Also, how many people are available? I can make it at 5 today.

However, there have been concerns raised that we tend to annouce meetings too close to the time of the meeting, which gives people too little time to plan to attend. Result: we have a small number of people at the meeting, and no decisions can be taken.

2. Mobilizing people at the first protest venue, which we decided  at the meeting in ESG would be Nrupatunga Rd. Strategy for educating people and getting them involved.

Lets meet if we have at least 5 people. Else doesnt make sense.
 
Kanishka- Can we were freeze on Sat 5 pm or Sun 11 am (and the location) as the permanent meeting slot. Its going to be a little tedious if we sent mails every week for meetings. One automated reminder can be setup on the e-groups a couple of days in advance.

Last time we visited this issue, here is what we got from the opinion poll:

Sat, 5 pm, Civic got 9 votes
Sun, 2 pm, ESG got 8 votes

Since on the two occasion we have met at ESG, we had a larger turnout than any of the Civic meetings,  I propose that we meet there.  Can Divya or someone else from ESG confirm if that's possible?

Re. today, I could make it, but it looks like it's just the three of us.

Let us stick to our current meeting time and place. Unless anyone voices major issues, we will meet

Every Saturday, @5 pm, CIVIC Office.

Kathyayini has been graciously making the necessary arrangements the last few times we have met there. Hope we can continue to do that. Please assume that this is going to be the regular weekly meeting of HU.
