to Fiddler
Hi All,

I have an issue with Fiddler when I'm working with Fiddler as a proxy
on machine A and browser on machine B.
The problem is that I'm getting "connection error" in IE and "Invalid
Server Certificate" in Chrome (so I'm assume that it is a certificate
issue).
Some more info:
I tried the latest version (Stable and the Beta) and it didn't work.

Fiddler work as a charm for http traffic (from local and remote
computers) and for https traffic from the local machine *only*, it
does not work from the remote computer.

I tried to import the certs to be under the trusted (on the local and
remote computer), and still, no luck.

I went over the documentation and forums but I didn't found any clue
for the solution.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Every machine that has ever used Fiddler for HTTPS decryption self-
generates its own unique FiddlerRoot certificate.

The problem is that “Machine A” and “Machine B” have different
versions of the Fiddler root certificate. When “Machine A” gets a
HTTPS tunnel which is authenticated using Machine B’s version of the
root certificate, the Schannel HTTPS stack “panics” because the root
certificate looks like it’s faked.

To make that scenario work, you need to delete the Fiddler root
certificate from Machine A and then copy over that certificate from
Machine B.
