Hi guys,
I am new to the Fiddler community and am really trying to debug some apps that I am making. I currently am running an emulator called bluestacks as the platform to run my apps. I am new to fiddler and am coming across a big issue. Fiddler will not display the traffic of this application and I was wondering how to resolve this. I have searched online and through these forums but have not found a solution. I would really appreciate help on this issue.

Hi, Chris!

The "Search for topics" box at the top is a great way to find known issues and workarounds.

Unfortunately, when we last looked at this, BlueStacks was using networking hackery that didn't allow it to respect the system's proxy settings:

There are some hits on Google suggesting workarounds, but I haven't tried these myself: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=bluestacks+proxy

Eric,
Thank you for the reply.
I have tried many different methods including using proxycap, but for some reason, when proxycap is running, I get "network disconnected" errors from all apps in bluestacks. I have seen other posts in here where people have been successful, but am unsure as to why I am getting this error. I am unable to load web pages in browsers in bluestacks etc. I think that the newest version of bluestacks put forth even more efforts to ignore proxy settings. With that said, I think that the best work around is to use a different app player than bluestacks.

I will poke around and try to find an emulator that works better with fiddler. I will post back soon.
