Chrome, an IE6 standalone, and IE7 all get slow when Fiddler is on.
The pages do load but some of the requests are taking a while. For
example, the
www.youtube.com just took about 3 seconds. Some page
assets come right over and then some take very long indeed.
When I turn off Fiddler this doesn't happen. But then, of course, I
don't have Fiddler.
I searched around the FAQ, the common issues, and this group, and the
best I could find was some discussion about turning off autoproxy. Is
this the same as "automatically detect settings" in the LAN Advanced
Options box? If so, I do not have that checked.
I used Fiddler and Fiddler 2 for quite a while without this happening.
So I'm inclined to think I did something. But the best I can come up
with is that I recently expanded my browser collection to include
Safari 4 for PC, Chrome, and an IE6 standalone. Could this have mucked
with some kind of system settings?
Thanks in advance for any insight
