Hi,
I am able to use fiddler to trace traffic from a .NET console application on my local machine to a web service that looks like this:
https://sqs.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/111111111111/WebServiceUrl
I've been able to troubleshoot other webservice traffic from the .NET console application on my local machine with no problems.

The article is for the Fiddler Everywhere but the same principle is applicable for the classic Fiddler as well.
