Eric - thanks for providing Fiddler!  It is a great tool.  I coordinate the use of Fiddler for my institution and in the beginning no one but technical staff wanted to use Fiddler, but now our vendors are requiring Fiddler trace output so they can solve issues.

Recently I went to the Fiddler2 site and saw a message that said that I have .NETv4 and could download Fiddler4.  All of the staff in our institution have the same common operating environment so we should all have .NETv4.  I was just wondering about the reasons I might want to move them to Fiddler4.

I looked at the Changelog but I did not see one for Fiddler4.

Fiddler v2.x and Fiddler v4.x are essentially identical; the former is compiled targeting the .NET2.0 CLR while the latter targets the .NET4.0 CLR. They both have essentially the same features, so generally speaking, you can use either as long as you have both Frameworks installed.

One minor difference is that if you're running Windows8, you typically want to install Fiddler4, because Win8 comes with .NET4 by default and the Fiddler4 installer is bundled with the EnableLoopback utility.
