I have tried using the 'Capture HTTP connects option - but that doesn't seem to work.

In general, Java applications must be configured to use the Fiddler proxy (running at
127.0.0.1:8888
); see
http://fiddlerbook.com/fiddler/help/hookup.asp#Q-JavaTraffic
for instance.
