Is Fiddler portable / runnable from USB stick?

In other words are drivers stored in some Windows directories resp.
entries written into Registry
during installation?

I can not exactly answer that, but you can search google for
"SYSINTERNALS PROCESS MONITOR" and download that tool (freeware) from
the Microsoft page.
After this you can download fiddler, start capturing and install it
then. After Installation you can see, what the Setup executable has
modified in the Registry and on the File System (use right click for
more options in the process activity list)

Yes. Copy the Fiddler folder from a machine where you've installed it
and you can run it from the USB stick.
