Hello,

I've recently upgraded windows to 8.1 and IE can't connect to localhost anymore.
Apparently it's because of the new isolation mode.

Problem is, when I use the "AppContainer Loopback Exemption Utility" or the "Windows 8 Loopback Manager" apps,  nothing works.

First one says :

---------------------------
Sorry...
---------------------------
The utility was unable to collect the list of AppContainers on this system.
[NetIso ErrorCode 0x6F4] - Unable to enumerate AppContainers.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

The other one doesn't display anything.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

What is "Windows 8 Loopback Manager"?

Error 0x6F4 is a "null pointer" exception in RPC. Unfortunately, this is occurring down below my utility.

If you click the Refresh button, do you see the same error?

If you try to run checknetisolation.exe from the command line, does it work?

Windows 8 Loopback Manager is this utility : http://loopback.codeplex.com/

When I click refresh, the error displays again.

For the checknetisolation utility, I need the package id for IE. I'll try searching a bit more on google ;)
