I know I am missing something but I am having a problem tracking the
traffic from a flash app built in Flex.

The flash application is built to use webservice hosted on another
machine on the same domain. We can see the traffic in our webservice
log and we have used wireshark to see that the machine is calling the
webservice over the network. What we can't manage is to see any
traffic in fiddler.
We have installed the latest version of Fiddler and have been able to
track all the other traffic on the PC e.g. IE and the java update tool
so it looks like fiddler is working fine.

The routine we go through is
1) login to the machine via VNC
2) Run fiddler
3) Run flash app
4) Have someone use the flash app so that it calls the webservice
5) Check what fiddler has tracked.

I would appreciate any advice/help at this point as I have hit a wall
with this one.

Thank in advance.

If you set your machine to use a non-existent proxy, does the "Flash
application" still work? If so, then Flash isn't respecting the
system proxy settings; you'd have to talk to Adobe about that.

Incidentally, what is a "Flash application" and how does that differ
from a Flash object in a webpage?

thx!
