Primers were once a standard part of every child's education. The first primer printed in North America, The New England Primer (ca. 1690), was typical; it contained many quotations from the Bible and many moral lessons, and the text was accompanied by numerous woodcut illustrations. We no longer use the word in early education, but it's widely used in everyday speech. Notice how primer is pronounced; don't mix it up with the kind of paint that's pronounced with a long *i *sound.

Minimal and maximal number of bases that must anneal to exons at the 5' or 3' side of the junction Help This specifies the minimal number of bases that the primer must anneal to the template at 5' side (i.e., toward start of the primer) or 3' side (i.e., toward end of the primer) of the exon-exon junction. Annealing to both exons is necessary as this ensures annealing to the exon-exon junction region but not either exon alone. Note that this option is effective only if you select "Primer must span an exon-exon junction" for "Exon junction span" option.

Minimal number of nucleotides that the left or the right primer must have at the 5' or 3' side of the junctions Concentration of monovalent cations Help The millimolar concentration of salt (usually KCl) in the PCR. Primer3 uses this argument to calculate oligo melting temperatures.

KILZ 3 PREMIUM primer is a superior quality, fast drying, low odor, very low VOC, water-based primer-sealer-stainblocker. The climate crisis is the single greatest public health challenge of the 21st century. As a significant contributor to climate change, the healthcare sector faces an urgent call to action to reduce its carbon footprint and protect communities from climate threats. The Biden-Harris Administration has set clear goals for the country to cut greenhouse emissions (GHG) in half in the next 8 years, then move quickly to net zero before 2050, as outlined in the Federal Sustainability Plan.

To support healthcare organizations in advancing toward their decarbonization commitments, AHRQ contracted with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement to develop a primer that offers guidance on high-priority measures and strategies for healthcare organizations to reduce their carbon footprint.

This primer serves as an action guide to help healthcare organizations reduce their carbon footprint and protect communities from climate threats. The primer describes six domains contributing to GHG emissions in healthcare: building energy, transportation, anesthetic gas, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, medical devices and supplies, and food. Building on this framework, the primer identifies core and elective measures to track progress and critical strategies for reducing GHG in each domain. The primer also features vignettes of what health systems have done to reduce GHG and includes a collection of resources and tools to support implementation.

This primer was developed collaboratively with a team of subject matter experts who contributed content, case examples, and recommendations. Contributors' names and affiliations are listed in the front of the Primer.

Our impressive Stain Eliminating Primer is a safe and effective bonding and stain eliminator in one! This primer can be used on most surfaces including decks, concrete, walls, furniture, and cabinets. Available in 4 color choices; we suggest using the white primer under whites and light colors, the gray primer under medium colors like yellows and reds, use our clear primer under dark paint colors or whenever you are distressing, and dark gray under very dark tones. We recommend always using our primer under white or light colors to prevent pesky wood tannin bleed through, and under all One Hour Enamel applications for superior bonding durability.

The surface must be clean and free of dirt, grease, grime, wax, and chalk. Remove all loose or flaking paint by scraping, wire brushing or sanding. Fill all holes and cracks and any voids or surface imperfections.

Dry to touch in 1 hour, reapply in 4-6 hours under normal drying conditions. Sealing some stains may require two coats and a longer reapply window to allow the primer to dry thoroughly prior to finishing. This dry time is what seals in those stains and tannins.

Priming is especially important if you are painting anything white that is a Depression-era piece! I cannot stress this enough. These things will BLEED! Clean well and always use our stain eliminating primer before painting these. Allow 6 hours of dry time with each coat of primer to ensure stain blocking. Occasionally a piece may need a third coat.

It is recommended to prime with Wise Owl Primer before using the One Hour Enamel for extreme adhesion of the paint to surfaces. This increases durability and longevity. Cabinets, tile, and floors should ALWAYS be primed without exception.

This skin-quenching primer prepares the skin so makeup goes on easier and lasts longer. It also helps maintain skin's youthful appearance and minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines while bringing out your natural radiance.

A daily protective primer that holds your makeup in place. This primer uses expensive, silicone-free texturing ingredients to help diminish the appearance of fine lines for smooth makeup application.

On makeup days: after sunscreen, massage three pumps of Pregame Primer across your face and neck, focusing on lymphatic drainage points to promote blood circulation and to create a smooth canvas to then apply your normal makeup routine. This helps makeup longevity by creating a barrier to prevent sunscreen and sebum from dissolving makeup.

On no makeup days, Pregame Primer can be used as a form of daytime slugging to seal in your skincare. Because it has a radiant golden finish and a patented ingredient that stops redness at the skin's histamine level, it's a great skin tint replacement for busy days on the go!

We believe that makeup is an extension of your skincare. All of our products are formulated to be so good for your skin, you can sleep in it. Our founder, Fiona Co Chan, tests all of our products by personally sleeping in it for an extended period of time. We like to use skin friendly plant based ingredients to provide luxurious textures and targeted treatments for your skin.
