WEBRTC cams unreliable

When we started using the WEBRTC webcams they were really good and very reliable.  Now they often don't work. They buffer and the icon just spins but nothing happens or they suddenly turn off.  Our chatters are getting fed up with constantly having to log out and back in again to get them to work.  When they do work, the picture quality is great but mostly they don't work at all. We've sent screen shots and asked for help but nothing has been done to put it right.  Is anyone else having this problem or does anyone know how to fix it?
